Carnival will be celebrated on Monday 19th and Tuesday 20th February 2007. These are not public holidays.
The dates for the Muslim festival Eid-ul-Fitr and the Hindu festival Divali are determined and announced just prior to their observance each year.
Where the public holiday is a religious observance, the date is selected to suit that particular religious calendar. For example, Good Friday, Eid-ul-Fitr and Divali are changeable.
NB: When a public holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the Monday following immediately. When two public holidays fall on the same date the following date is also given as a public holiday.
